I spent most of my childhood at the Lodge, when my great grandfather and great grandmother owned it. My brothers and I used play in the common area and walk on the stone walls.
We had many family dinners there and lots of wonderful times together. I remember the great room with the wood, and the animal heads and pelts. Could you pass on any history information you may have about the lodge and Grover and Cora Vogel?
I’m putting together photos and family historic info for my six children and seven grandchildren.
Who knows, maybe one day when the grand babies are older, we could have a family re-union there? That would be fabulous. But, everyone is so strapped financially right now and none of us live in CO any more.
    Thanks for your kind attention,
    Mona Johnson
